What to expect from Touro at Home
Touro at Home provides intermittent care to our patients at home. Many seniors are thrilled to learn that they can receive care in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Our team is composed of several disciplines, including your own physician, and our hospital case managers who work with senior patients every step of the way. Services available include:
Our nursing team has years of combined expertise under their belt. Under their care, you'll feel safer in your own home and less worried about your current health condition.
Our experienced home care aides are here to help you thrive in daily life. They might help your loved one with taking medication, checking vital signs, and much more.
If you've recently had surgery and are working toward improved mobility, our physical therapy team is here for you. We'll help you recover from your operation or injury as smoothly as possible.
Need some help with daily tasks? Occupational therapy sessions can improve your motor skills, making it much easier to eat, dress, and bathe on your own.
We work with patients who have difficulty when speaking or who have lost the ability to speak due to a stroke.
Many of us struggle with creating a healthy diet. With our expert team at your side, you'll know exactly which foods are best for a healthy life.
Our medical social services team is here to support your loved one and your family throughout their time in our care. We'll help coordinate care and assist your loved one in navigating the mental and emotional aspects of health.
Our specialized programs
Each person’s home health regimen looks a little different, so we make sure we offer a variety of resources that support each of our senior’s unique needs. Ask your doctor about enrolling in one of our specialized programs, which include infusion therapy, wound care, congestive heart failure treatment, orthopedic recovery, diabetes management, and more.
Licensed Senior Care
It’s always hard to entrust your loved one to someone else’s care. You’ll be happy to know our Touro at Home program is licensed by the state of Louisiana, and we meet the requirements to be a Medicare-Certified Agency. Rest assured, too, that we are committed to upholding the Home Care Standards established by the Joint Commission.
